CESZAR is a 20-brick Linear Transformer Driver (LTD) cavity that produces ~0.8 MA current with a rise time of 200 ns into a low inductance load. The cavity was extensively tested at Sandia National Laboratories. The generator is fully operational with multiple diagnostics including two four frame XUV cameras, laser interferometer, and high resolution optical, EUV and X-ray spectrometers. CESZAR can conduct 5-10 experiments/day. Additional details may be found in:

Diagnostics Summary
Ekspla NL301G YAG laser, 4ns pulse duration, Q-switched, 1064nm-200mJ, 532nm-100mJ. This laser is usually used as 4-frame interferometry and/or schlieren system.
Ekspla PL2143AT/20 YAG laser, 30-100ps tunable, Q-switched. 1064nm-50mJ/pulse, 532nm-25mJ/pulse, 355nm-12mJ/pulse, 266nm-7mJ. This is a recently purchased laser and is going to be used for laser probing (interferometry and schlieren) but with much shorter pulse duration than the currently available.
Continuum Powerlite DLS series (9010) YAG laser,4-8ns pulse duration, Q-switched Nd:YAG laser. 1064nm-2J/pulse, 532nm-1J/pulse, 355nm-0.5J/pulse, 266nm-0.16J/pulse. This laser will be used for optical Thomson scattering.
2 Gated XUV imaging cameras, 4 frame each. This allows taking up to 8 consecutive frames with adjustable interdelay.
Gated and time integrated McPigs XUV spectrometer. We have a broad assortment of gratings, allowing us to measure a broad range of wavelengths (~1-50 nm).
Time integrated X-ray spectrometers. We have a broad set of crystals (quartz, mica, HOPG, PET, KAP, LiF) for different wavelength rage.
McPherson high resolution optical spectrometer model 207. This spectrometer will be used in the optical Thomson scattering setup.
3 gated optical image intensifiers (1 ns resolution). This allows taking 3 consecutive optical images of the plasma or attached to the optical spectrometer for gated operation.
Broad sort of silicon diodes and diamond detectors for XUV and X-ray light detection.
Time integrated pinhole cameras for X-ray imaging.
